These episodes follow the pattern set at the beginning of the Super S continuity: the members of the evil Amazon Trio (Fish-Eye, Tigers-Eye, and Hawks-Eye) search for the "mirror of beautiful dreams" that contains the Pegasus, which will enable them to capture the magical animal. They attack a fashion designer, a young soccer player, a stern old woman, a ballet instructor, and Scouts Mina and Amy. Each time, the Sailor Scouts defeat a monstrous "Remless" with the help of Tuxedo Mask and the Pegasus. In episode 16 Serena (Usagi) and fellow Scouts Amy, Raye, Lita, and Mina (Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako in Japanese) discover that Rini (Chibiusa) has a special bond with the Pegasus, and that the winged unicorn can give them the power to metamorphose into their Super forms, but for some reason, they don't act on that knowledge.
